International flight to Nairobi Day 2: Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the morning, you will be met by our driver guide and after introductions head to your hotel for check-in and refreshment. You then visit the Kenya National Museum where old culture, history and artifacts are preserved. You later visit some of the historical sites in Nairobi town such as old parliament buildings, bomb blast site, first Kenyan president mausoleum, heroes memorial site and government offices. Dinner and overnight at Nairobi Meridian hotel. Day 3: Nairobi
After morning breakfast visit a Kiambu coffee farm and factory and see how coffee is harvested, processed and packed. You will have a chance to taste a sweet cup of coffee which is a thrilling experience. In the afternoon visit the Bomas of Kenya for traditional songs and dances. Dinner and overnight at Nairobi Meridian hotel. Day 4: Nairobi / Nyeri
After early morning breakfast check out from the hotel and head towards Nyeri in the Central highlands of Kenya. On the way, you will enjoy sites of green plantations of pineapples and bananas. Have a stopover at the Karatina Market which is biggest in East Africa and see how the local communities trade with foods and commodities. You arrive in Nyeri town along the Aberdare ranges for lunch. Later visit one of the Kikuyu communities that live along the Aberdare farming tea and interact as you taste their traditional mouth watering tea and food. You also pass Lord Baden Powell site and grave side. Baden Powell from England is the world famous founder of the Scouting Movement in 1907 and started the same in Kenya in 1910. Dinner and overnight at the Green Hills hotel. Day 5: Nyeri / Samburu
After morning breakfast check out from the hotel and heads towards Samburu Game reserve. On the way have a stopover at the Equator, which is an imaginary line that divides the world into two and a good place for photo taking. You later can visit a woman self-help project in Nanyuki that gives the poor and widowed skills in weaving and spinning. You are free buy some of the products or give support of any kind. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sentrim camp. Day 6: Samburu
After morning breakfast take packed lunch and spend time in Samburu slopes and searching for the rare animals such as gravy zebras, baisy olyx, gerenuk and Somali ostrich. Also found are rare birds such as sun birds, eagles, guinea fowl, horn bills, secretary birds and eagles. In the afternoon visit the Samburu villages that are popular for keeping many cattle and goats. You witness their rich culture and heritages which they have maintained for centuries. Dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Sentrim camp. Day 7: Samburu / Lake Nakuru
After morning breakfast takes packed lunch and heads towards Lake Nakuru. On the way enjoys good sites of Mt Kenya (2nd tallest mountain in Africa) which local communities believes that their God lives at the top. In the afternoon visit the flamingoes’ lake that is referred as best bird’s paradise on earth and a unique UN World heritage sites. You have a chance to witness the rare white rhinos, black rhinos, buffaloes and Rothschild giraffes. Also take photos of greater and lesser flamingoes and other birds that are only found in Kenya. Dinner and overnight stay at the Top Cliff lodge. Day 8: Nakuru / Lake Naivasha
After breakfast check out of your hotel and heads towards Naivasha. Arrives on time for lunch at Lake Naivasha which is in the Great Rift Valley. In the afternoon have a boat ride and a walk in the lake only island. Lake Naivasha is a fresh lake in the Rift Valley and one of the unique UN World heritages sites. Dinner and overnight stay at Naivasha Panaroma Park hotel. Day 9: Naivasha / Maasai Mara
After breakfast, start your journey to the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve, which is commonly known for ‘big five.’ It’s about six hours to get there via Narok the only Maasai town in the Rift Valley. On the way will witness Mt Longonot in the Rift Valley bend which has a crater at the top. Arrive late in the afternoon and have time to check in the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Mara AA lodges. Day 10: Mara
After morning breakfast, take packed lunch and drive to the park and have a chance to witness many animals such lions, elephants, cheetah, leopards, zebras and buffaloes. Also are many species of birds such as vultures, hornbills, Maasai ostrich, crown cranes and marabou stocks. In the afternoon can visit Maasai villages for tradition songs and dances. The community is the most known in Kenya for their culture and heritage preservations. Dinner and overnight at Mara AA lodges. Day 11: Mara / Nairobi
After early breakfast check out from your hotel and proceeds to Nairobi. Have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley view point that is an amazing place for photo taking. At far distance can see Mt Longonot that has a breathtaking crater at the top. Arrive in Nairobi for lunch and later are dropped at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your safe flight back home.
